Designed for northern seasons

Low sun.
Snow-reflected light.

Low autumn, winter and spring sun can reach a suitably positioned wall-mounted collector at a favourable angle. Snow on the ground reflects extra sunlight towards it, which boosts heat output on sunny days.

Inside Fullblack, a thin, selective super-absorber captures sunlight, limits heat radiation and responds immediately when the sun appears.

More than 70% of annual output is produced during autumn, winter and spring. Actual output varies with location, orientation, shading, snow cover and weather.

Up to 5×

as much useful heat as a photovoltaic panel powering resistance heating, under the stated comparison conditions.

Up to 1,000 kWh

estimated annual energy contribution in suitable installation and operating conditions.

−20°C and below

solar-heated air when useful sunlight reaches Fullblack's selective super-absorber.

Measure, then calculate

Turn temperature rise
into an estimate.

Using the stated airflow of 43 m³/h, this calculator estimates heating power and heat over your selected operating time.

Temperature rise20.0 °C
Heating power now312 W
Heat over selected time1.25 kWh

Power formula

Q̇ = ΔT × 1.3 × 12

12 L/s = 43.2 m³/h (approximately 43 m³/h).

At 43 m³/h, each degree of temperature rise equals 15.6 W in this formula.

Fullblack Outdoor FAQ

Good to know.

How does Fullblack Outdoor work?

Room air is drawn through a wall duct, passes behind the solar-heated super-absorber and returns indoors as solar heat. Fullblack recirculates indoor air rather than drawing air from outdoors. It is not a fresh-air ventilation system and does not replace the building's ventilation. Pressure and moisture conditions depend on the whole ventilation system and the building.

Can I install it myself?

Yes. The key installation step is making 51 mm wall openings.

How is the fan powered?

The 10 W solar module is intended for unheated spaces or spaces kept at a low background temperature. It connects directly to the fan and automatically controls its speed so the air returned to the room is always warmer than the air drawn into the collector. With adapter operation, you set the start and stop temperatures yourself.

What does it cost to run with the adapter?

Just a few euros a year with the adapter, negligible compared with the value of the 1,000 kWh of heat produced.
